Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a form of online advertising involving two partners. The first is the affiliate, who allows an advert to be published on his website, while the second is the merchant, that is the advertiser. The advertiser grants the partner a payment for each action undertaken, by which we generally mean purchases made, on the part of visitors clicking through from the affiliate’s web site.

These marketing strategies are used by the merchant to bring in the maximum number of users in the desired target group, and to increase the likelihood of sales. Said methods generally include SEO, Pay Per Click email marketing strategies, as well as other types of online advertising.

Obviously not all websites are attractive to advertisers and, in many cases, certain general requirements have to be respected for them to be considered as potential affiliates. Said requirements might be, for example: high editorial quality, in which exclusive contents are a fundamental condition; heavy single user traffic; high visibility.
